Так возникла идея — обучать детей с особыми потребностями и с инвалидностью вместе с обычными детьми, давая всем равные возможности общения, творческого и эмоционального развития.
В своем выступлении Камила делится руководством как сумела открыть первый в Казахстане центр инклюзивного образования и, тем самым способствовала решению проблемы. Jonathan Brickers work has uncovered a scientifically sound approach to behavior change that is twice as effective as most currently practiced methods. His new methods are driving new norms and new apps for how people quit smoking and decrease obesity, saving many people from an early death.

Jonathan Bricker is an internationally recognized scientific leader in a bold approach called acceptance and commitment therapy. A Stanford researcher called his use of the approach “a breakthrough in behavioral research [that] has major public health implications for the major causes of preventable death.” Bricker and his team, having received $10 million in total federal research grants to study this topic, are rigorously testing this intervention on multiple platforms, including smartphone apps, websites, and telephone coaching. His SmartQuit app for quitting smoking was recently launched and is now in distribution worldwide.

Maha Mamo was born stateless and lived in the shadows in Lebanon for 26 years. That means not being able to go to school, to the hospital, to travel. To exist. But Maha Mamo’s tireless fight to belong finally paid off in October 2018, when she gained Brazilian citizenship.

Maha Mamo was born stateless due to a web of restrictive laws on civil registration in Syria and Lebanon, the two countries she had ties to. She is determined to advocate for the rights of stateless persons, hoping to put an end to statelessness around the world. She also advocates for an end to discriminatory laws that prevent women from passing on their citizenship to their children. Dr. Conor McDonough Quinn is a documentary linguist, endangered language revitalization worker, and avid learner and teacher of languages. Raised in Portland, Maine, he has lived at length in Indonesia, China, and Oman, and has worked extensively with several indigenous communities of the Northeast. Learning his own familys endangered heritage language (hint: look at the name) in his early teens gave him a passion for helping others to do the same, and led him to pursue linguistics—somewhat single-mindedly—throughout his academic career. Alongside a hefty set of technical research questions in linguistics, he is currently most interested in developing tools to help speech communities carry out their own linguistic documentation and revitalization work, and in finding new ways to reduce the barriers to learning new languages.

The educational sector in Nigeria is in a precarious state and as such, social change is far-fetched because education is a key driver for social change. There has been a huge disruption in the sector since the emergence of the Covid-19 crisis, which exposed the capitalism in education in Nigeria.
Dr. Mina in her talk questions and addresses the widening infrastructural and technological gaps between private and public institutions. She also addresses the effects of governments failure to mainstream digital learning and initiate an efficient fiscal policy on education in Nigeria.
She affirms that a responsive educational system builds resilient societies. Dr. Mina is a multiple award-winning Development Activist, a Ford Foundation fellow and a certified trainer and facilitator. She has over 20 years’ experience in development facilitation and has supported strategic development activities locally and globally. She has studied in several tertiary Institutions with a strong desire to search for global solutions to local problems. Her second PhD in Development Studies paved the way for the promotion of coping and adaptation strategies to pandemics and won her many awards. She has studied in several local, national and international institutions including Harvard University, Cambridge University etc.
