Древесина уже давно используется не только для строительства небольших домиков в деревне, но и для многоквартирных домов в городе. Это идеальный материал для того, чтобы, с одной стороны, быть современным и экологичным, а с другой – продолжать архитектурную традицию. Основатель и директор бюро OOPEAA Ансси Лассила делится своим видением архитектуры будущего и объясняет, как особенности древесины проявляются в конечном облике здания.

Бюро периферийной архитектуры OOPEAA пропагандирует идею рационального использования ресурсов и в своих работах пытается выразить связь человека и природы. Среди его проектов — наблюдательная вышка в Сейняйоки, церковь общины Кярсямяки, восьмиэтажный жилой дом в Йювяскюля и многие другие.
