Dan Schneider came face to face with unspeakable tragedy on April 14, 1999 when his 22 year old son was shot and killed while attempting to buy drugs in New Orleans. Dan speaks on his experience searching for his son’s killer, how it fueled his fight against the opioid epidemic, and how he found the light through the Tunnel of Hope.

I married my high school sweetheart, Annie, in 1971. She worked, I went to Pharmacy School and worked part-time. I became a Pharmacist in 1975 and she became a stay at home Mom. Our son Danny was born 9/27/76. Lil Danny was a blond haired blue eyed beautiful boy. He brought us much joy. Our daughter Kristi came along in 1980 and completed what many called the Griswald family. Station wagon, family trips, and a 17 ft. Christmas tree.
On 4/14/1999 our life changed. Our son was murdered while trying to buy drugs.

Our story was told in in the Netflix docuseries „“The Pharmacist»" .The story is not over, it is still being written. We are trying to build a nationwide movement to end the Opioid and Addiction Pandemic that has killed nearly a million since since my son died. I call our Mission "«The Tunnel of Hope»", as we hope to bring light to this dark National Tragedy." Im 70 years old and believe sharing my hard found wisdom will benefit others. Nick Vujicic was born in Australia to a Serbian immigrant family, with a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. Most of his childhood he struggled with depression, and after a suicide attempt he decided to concentrate on what he did have instead on what he didnt. He realized that his life story inspires many people.

Князь Василий собирается женить Пьера на своей дочери Элен, так как считает это брак выгодным, прежде всего для себя, ведь юноша теперь очень богат. Князь устраивает Пьера камер-юнкером и настаивает на том, чтобы юноша отправлялся с ним в Петербург. Пьер останавливается у Курагиных. Общество, родственники и знакомые полностью изменили свое отношение к Пьеру после получения им наследства графа, теперь его слова и действия все находили милыми.

Nearly 80% of college students report that procrastination is a significant issue for them. Procrastination is not a matter of mere “laziness” and the solution is not simply “better time management”. Could it be that procrastination is actually a highly effective strategy for self-protection and that’s why we continue to do it? In this talk, Nic unravels the surprising and perplexing motivational dynamics underlying our procrastination that lead so often to disengagement and burnout. Illustrated with examples drawn from two decades of coaching students, he introduces self-worth theory of motivation, a powerful research-based conceptual framework for understanding and overcoming procrastination, avoidance, and over-commitment. Dominic (Nic) Voge is Senior Associate Director of Princeton University’s McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning, and author of “Life Beyond Grades” (Cambridge University Press). His work focuses on helping students truly thrive and achieve a sense of well-being not only academically, but in all realms of their lives. Nic is a founding member of The Resilience Consortium, the Princeton Perspective Project, and Principedia, initiatives designed to deepen engagement and learning among students. Во второй части лекции расскажет о теории игр – дисциплине, соединяющей математику и социальные науки. Теорию игр активно применяют в бизнесе, управлении, международных отношениях, психологии и даже юриспруденции. О теории игр был снят знаменитый фильм «Игры разума».
